MDI Security Systems is seeking self-motivated sales professionals for positions as part-time and full-time Inside Sales Account Representatives.  The role of the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is to call existing MDI Customers and new client prospects to deliver the MDI security value message for solutions that include products, services and maintenance contracts.  The ISR will call prospects to generate leads, qualify leads, manage leads, set sales appointments for outside sales representatives, develop territory business through add-on sales within a regional client base.  With the assistance of management, the ISR will close end user sales opportunities through direct sales calls in order to meet and exceed corporate sales targets for their assigned Outside Sales Reps.  Inbound calls will also be taken and facilitated by the ISR from the San Antonio, Texas inside sales center.

ISRs will begin by calling a targeted list of thousands of existing MDI customers to qualify their current needs and future security system purchases to include products such as electronic access control, analog and IP digital video surveillance (cameras, servers and systems), alarm management, biometrics and door security solutions.  Associated installation, integration and maintenance services will also be promoted by the ISR. 

Sales leads will be qualified and distributed to Outside Sales Reps by management.  ISRs are responsible for calling and qualifying the leads, sending appropriate marketing collateral, following up with leads, setting sales appointments for Outside Sales Reps, building and managing their sales pipeline and in some instances, assisting Outside Sales Reps in closing direct sales opportunities to increase revenue and product mix within the MDI customer base.

Successful candidates must have prior sales experience (preferably in security products, software, technical hardware and/or professional services but not required) and be able to demonstrate the ability to directly open, quote and manage accounts through closure if necessary.  The ideal candidate will be a team player who is resourceful, organized, uses sound business judgment, represents the highest level of integrity, can manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously and successfully forecast their business.

Responsibilities:
Meet and exceed Revenue, Margin and Key Performance Indicators
Manage the pipeline and accurately forecast their business
Drive revenue and margin growth within user account base
Develop and manage referrals from the prospect base in order to self-generate leads
Work as an individual contributor to call, qualify, manage and close deals
Utilize a CRM system for all call and sales activity and provide accurate forecasts and reports on a weekly basis
Work closely with technical sales engineers to ensure the customer is receiving the appropriate information
Increase Client Retention and Up-sell potential through targeted call scheduling
Drive customer satisfaction and reference-ability of the client base
Keep clients and prospects fully aware of the launch of new products, services and key developments
Up-sell and cross-sell prospective clients additional MDI products and solutions
Develop and present quarterly Territory Action Plans / Quarterly Business Reviews to management

Requirements:
Proven track record of achievement to targets (sales or non-sales related ok)
Competitive nature
Ability to develop and manage a consistent sales pipeline (or book of business)
Accurate forecasting ability
Experience in a sales call center environment a plus, but not required
Experience working with complex sales in a consultative manner a plus
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, in written, verbal and presentation form
Assertive team player with ability to establish and maintain bonding and rapport
Strong problem solving, negotiation and sales closing skills (training provided)
Computer/PC literacy; use of MS Office applications, PowerPoint and email
Pleasant telephone manner, clear speaking voice, excellent communication skills
Field sales experience a plus, but not required

BA or BS Degree in Business, Communications, Information Technology or a Certification in a technically related field is a plus but not required.  New college graduates and college students encouraged to apply. 

Compensation:
Compensation is hourly based on experience, with performance bonuses based on quota achievement by supported Outside Sales Reps.  Advancement opportunities within the Sales and Marketing Department may be available to top performers.
